This policy explains what personal information the Ghana Revenue Authority Co-operative Credit Union (GRACCU) collects about members and visitors, why we hold it, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
We collect only what membership and the services you use require:
- Identity and contact details — your name, GRA staff identity number, address, telephone number and email address.
- Financial information — your share balance, savings, loan applications and repayment history.
- Records of your dealings with us — enquiries you send through this site, correspondence, and notes from a visit to a branch.
- Technical information about your visit to this website, limited to what is needed to serve and secure the pages.
Why we hold it
To operate your membership and your accounts; to assess and administer loans; to meet obligations placed on us by the Ghana Co-operative Credit Unions Association, the Department of Co-operatives and applicable Ghanaian law; and to reach you about your own account.
Who we share it with
We do not sell member information, and we do not share it for marketing. We disclose it only to the auditors and regulators entitled to see it, to service providers acting on our instructions under a duty of confidence, and where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
For as long as you are a member, and afterwards for the period our regulatory and accounting obligations require. Records held only because a law requires it are destroyed once that period ends.
Your rights
You may ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, and object to a particular use. Write to the Registrar at the head office, or use the address below. We will answer within two working days and complete the request within thirty.
Cookies
This website sets only the cookies needed to serve pages and keep the site secure. It does not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Changes to this policy
Where we change this policy materially we will say so on this page, and the date below will change with it.
